Giant Redwoods are native to specific areas of America. Redwoods were often planted in private estates and public parks in Britain from the 1850s onwards. This reflected the Victorian era’s fascination with grand and exotic species from around the globe. These gardens of exotic species were often facilitated by colonial networks.
