Mutualism

Kaidi Fang
This project focuses on the plant diversity in Kew Garden, showing the mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship between plants in the form of postcards, and enhancing the public's awareness of natural ecology and protection. Palm trees and mycorrhizae: Mycorrhizae help palm trees absorb nutrients and promote growth. Palm trees and lianas: Lianas rely on palm trees to climb and get more sunlight. Amazonian water lilies and legumes: Legumes fix nitrogen, improve water nutrients, and help water lilies grow. Postcards are both souvenirs and popular science carriers, allowing visitors to intuitively feel the importance of plant symbiosis and enhance awareness of biodiversity protection. Biodiversity is facing threats, and symbiotic relationships maintain ecological balance. This project uses visual expression to enable the public to more intuitively understand the interdependence between plants and enhance environmental awareness. Postcards not only preserve the memory of Kew Garden, but also inspire people to pay attention to ecological protection and jointly promote sustainable development. I hope that this project can improve visitors' awareness of plant symbiosis. Spread the concept of Kew Garden ecological protection. Enhance the visitor experience and stimulate awareness of ecological protection through visual design.
